Our Approach

hpfm is a small software development/consulting company located in Brookvale, on Sydney's Northern Beaches. We usually number 5 (or 7 on a good day).

The team decided long ago that, essentially, we want to work with people that we like, and who like us and doing work that provides help to people.

In the 10 years or so that the company has been in operation, we have worked with both very large and very small organisations.  In that time we have developed our own internal software solution methodology.   Many system development methods focus on documentation, team structure and a range of important technical steps, but generally completely ignore the people that will use the end result.

Our methods focus on both the technical issues (data models, business work-flows, capacity models, etc ) and the social issues of the environment into which the system is to be released.   We use formal methods for requirements modelling, systems analysis etc, but we stay close to the problem area and the team involved.  We enjoy the feedback we get.  At SLSA over the past 5 years our Membership Management Solution has consistently had over 85% of users rate it as good, very good or excellent. 

Our staff have decades of experience in both large and small organisations in areas such as Customer Relationships, Geographic Information Systems, Strategic IT Planning.

We do not promise over night results, change is both complicated and personal.  We work with you to improve your business.  We know this works, and we are very keen to speak to you about how it can work for you, whether you are a small or very large organisation.
